HOME AT FAITH
Faith Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Wisconsin is seeking an Interim Pastor to help guide the congregation during a time of transition. The position will be available beginning in January 2018 upon the retirement of our current pastor. FPC is a small, stable and faithful congregation witnessing to Christ's grace and love in a growing suburban community outside of Milwaukee.
The Interim Pastor will be guiding us as we seek to discern God's will, serve others, and call a new pastor. Candidates should expect the following job responsibilities:
•Preparing for and helping to lead weekly Sunday morning worship and occasional special services
•Administering some of the business of the church, including moderating the Session and coordinating a monthly newsletter & weekly email update
•Providing pastoral care to our members as is needed
•Supporting the church leadership's efforts to assess the congregation's needs through the Holy Cow program
The ideal candidate will be someone who communicates openly and effectively with the session, deacons, individuals and groups in the congregation as well as with our music director and administrative assistant. Personal qualities we value highly include someone who is warm, welcoming, and shares a generous spirit. FPC is multi-generational, with an active Christian education program, several mission & outreach programs, and dedicated musicians and committees. The Interim Pastor must be able to minister to and interact with children, youth and adults, and help the congregation grow as God leads us.
TIME COMMITMENT & COMPENSATION:
We are looking for the Interim Pastor to work 30 hours per week and serve for a minimum of one year beginning in early 2018, with the possibility of extending beyond that time period if needed. A 60-day notification release clause will be included in the contract. Compensation and benefits will be based on the Presbytery minimum requisites.
